POSITION OVERVIEW
Northshore is looking for a Worship Pastor who will bring leadership and spiritual depth to Sunday experiences and beyond. In this role, you will develop worship teams that lead with both excellence and humility and help create services that foster spiritual formation through the practice of worship. Week to week, you’ll invest in musicians and vocalists, cultivate younger leaders, and shape worship moments that help people encounter Jesus with openness and expectancy. You’ll also support worship leadership in our student mid-week gatherings, ensuring a unified and Jesus-centered worship culture across generations.
PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Sunday Main Service (60%) (24 hrs.)
- Cast vision and multiply volunteer teams
- Primary worship leader during weekend services
- Help craft the flow and direction of worship experiences, utilizing known songs as well as introducing new and creative ideas
- Lead weekly rehearsals
- Lead Director of Production and Associate worship staff to execute weekend services
- Lead weekly department meetings
- Assist in other projects and stage sets as needed
- Scheduling volunteers and data entry
- Oversee planning and execution of holiday services (Christmas Eve, Easter); this includes forecasting, brainstorming, and creative planning
Student Mid-week Service (20%) (8 hrs.)
- Cast vision and multiply volunteer worship teams
- Provide leadership for student worship services
- Oversee set lists for all student experiences
- Work with the Director of Production to plan and execute midweek audio/lighting/video needs
- Coordinate scheduling of musicians and vocalists
- Attending student service planning meeting
- Recruit for both worship and production teams
- Lead weekly Student huddle
Volunteer Growth and Development (20%) (8 hrs.)
- Lunches/coffee with volunteers (approx. 1x a week), including thank you events
- Tactical development opportunities (approx. 4x a year)
- Spiritual development opportunities (approx. 2x a year)
- Identify next step opportunities for each volunteer
- Lead worship team leadership team

- Mature in faith, humble in demeanor, and self-aware
- Passionate about the vision of Northshore Community Church, theologically aligned with Northshore’s Statement of Faith, and committed to Northshore’s Staff Values
- High degree of personal integrity and confidentiality
- Demonstrated level of maturity and judgment, as well as the ability to remain objective and develop trusting and respectful relationships at all levels
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to be appropriate across various communication mediums
- Anticipatory planning and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented but not at the expense of “people first”
- Self-starter, with minimum supervision required
- Good computer skills; intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft programs
- Ability to recruit, train, and supervise volunteers in a variety of tasks
- Ability to work as a team member with a peer workgroup to accomplish desired results
- Be a member at Northshore or become a member within 12 months
- High School Graduate (minimum)
