Your Giving is Changing our Community and the World.

As you give to God’s work through the ministry and mission of Northshore, you are joining a group of people who are together for our neighbors, the next generation, and those in need so that those in the Puget Sound and beyond will flourish. When you give your heart and resources to a generous God, you are taking part in leading people into a life-changing relationship with Jesus.

Tithes & Offerings

Tithes & Offerings

Tithes

Tithing is bringing the first 10 percent of our income back to God. It’s a way to worship God by showing Him that we trust His promises. It’s also a way to protect our hearts from greed. By bringing back to God what is rightfully His, we remind ourselves that everything we have comes from Him.

Offerings

Offerings are any gifts we give over and above the tithe. As we understand how generous God is to us, we’ll find ourselves wanting to be more and more generous toward Him. For Offerings, we have set aside a special fund called the Compassion Fund to help those in need at Northshore and in our community.

Here are a few other ways you might consider giving. See the Faqs below for more information.

Other Questions?

If there is anything else we can help with, email us at finance@northshore.church.

What is Amazon Smile?

Amazon Smile is an Amazon affiliate program where Northshore can receive referral payments for up to 10% of purchases made on Amazon.com. In order for Northshore to receive the donation, you must set up Northshore Community Church Kirkland as your charity of choice.

What are Employer Matching Funds?

Many employers offer matching funds to approved charitable organizations. Northshore recommends the use of a Giver’s Fund through National Christian Foundation.

To learn more, visit their website or contact us.

How do I participate in Employer Matching Funds, Non-Cash Assets, and Donor Advised Giving?

We would love to help guide you through the process and answer any questions you might have. Feel free to email us at finance@northshore.church.

What is the Compassion Fund?

The Compassion Fund team assesses and responds to those facing financial hardships. It is a fund, set aside by Northshore to provide help for the families of Northshore, and as funds allow, to those within our immediate community. The assistance we give can be in the form of food cards, bill payments, or other types of resources. The Compassion Fund team assesses and responds to those facing financial hardships. For more information, contact the Compassion Fund at 425-216-4461.

What payment methods can I use when giving online?

You can use a credit card, debit card, or electronic funds transfer (EFT) from your checking account. EFTs are preferred due to lower processing costs than credit cards.

How can I get a receipt of my online contribution?

You may print your Giving History page from your Online Giving account as a valid receipt.

When will contributions be taken from my account?

Contributions will be taken from your specified bank account within 48 business hours of the date you requested. This time frame allows the contribution to process through your bank and the church’s bank. If the date of your contribution falls on a weekend or a holiday, the transaction will be initiated on the next banking day.

Once I set up a scheduled contribution, can I edit or delete it?

Yes. Once you log into your account, you would select the “Scheduled Giving” tab.  In “Scheduled Giving”, you can disable your scheduled contribution, change the frequency, amount, banking information, or date. Once the contribution has been processed, however, it cannot be canceled.

If I want to set-up a recurring contribution, what are my options for the frequency of my gift?

Your scheduled contribution can be made one time, weekly, every other week, monthly, quarterly, or yearly.

Are there any fees involved with giving online?

Yes, but not to you. You select the dollar amount for your gift, and that dollar amount will be recognized as your donation. You incur no additional costs or fees. Northshore Community Church pays approximately 3% of each contribution made by a bank card for card processing services. You may want to consider increasing your online giving amount by 3% to help offset the card processing costs.
