As we enter the final weeks of election season, it can be easy to lose focus on political issues and parties. That's why, as a church, we are going to focus on how to follow Jesus when everything is political. The stakes are too high to get distracted. No political party or person can fully reflect Jesus. The world doesn’t need what the Republicans or Democrats bring. The world needs what Jesus our King can bring.
About this message
There's a painful division that puts the church's unity and integrity in this country at risk today. And it's the way we've become divided by politics. Over the past few weeks, we've been in a series called Focus: How to Follow Jesus When Everything's Political. But the real challenge before us is not how to Follow Jesus when everything's political. It's how to follow Jesus when everything is partisan...when the litmus test for being a true Christian gets boiled down to the right vs. the left, conservative vs. progressive, red vs. blue.
