Giving Tree
Join us in welcoming refugee families new to Washington and helping them feel at home
WHAT IS GIVING TREE?
We are partnering with World Relief, a Christian humanitarian organization, to extend a warm welcome to refugee families who have relocated to Western Washington. These families have faced many hardships and Giving Tree will provide them with prayer and financial support as they begin a new life. Our new neighbors have had to leave almost everything they own behind as they’ve fled was, famine, oppression and trauma. Our cumulative donations will go deep, providing all the essentials, from blankets to dishes, lights and furniture, that families need to make a house a home, meeting needs in the name of Jesus in a way that says “Welcome Home,” at a turning point in their lives.
PRAY • GRAB • GIVE
Pray
Lift up these families in prayer, asking that they would feel warmly welcomed and sense the love of Jesus this Christmas. We’re asking each Northshore family to pray for at least one refugee family.
Grab an ornament
In both our campus lobbies, you’ll see ornaments for different refugee families, with their names and countries of origin. Grab an ornament to take home and pray together for one or more of these families over the holidays.
Give
Each gift of $25, $50, or more goes directly to providing essentials that help a refugee family start a new life here. Thank you for being part of this incredible mission through Giving Tree!
December 23, 2025 Update
Thanks to your generousity, Northshore donated over $42,000 to World Relief Western Washington. These funds will help our new neighbors get settled into their new homes. Here’s a note of thanks from World Relief.
Thank you! We are so thrilled and grateful for the generosity of Northshore Community Church! This gift will go a long way to creating welcoming and comfortable homes for newly arrived refugees. At World Relief Western Washington, our vision is to see every refugee and immigrant welcomed by community, rooted in community, and empowered for community. These funds will help our new neighbors not only feel welcomed, but also give them the start to feeling rooted in their new homes and community. We cannot achieve our vision without partners like you. Philippians 1:3 says “ I thank my God every time I remember you,” and that is exactly how we at World Relief feel about you. Thank you for caring for refugees and immigrants this Christmas. – Hannah Snelling | Outreach Manager | World Relief Western Washington
