Together For Those In Need
Our Together For fund is one of the practical ways we come together for our neighbors, the next generation and those in need. Unlike our general fund, Together For funds are used to help families in need. These funds have helped families keep their water or power on or keep their car running so they could get to work. Dozens of families each year who were struggling to make their rent or mortgage were able to stay in their homes. Every year we help more than 200 households. Over the last 10 years, over 2.5 million have been distributed to those in need.
How can I help?
This November, we’re asking everyone at Northshore to donate to the Together For fund so we can support 50 more families this year. Unlike our general fund giving, Together For is a special fund where 100% of every dollar donated will be given away to those in need. So every dollar donated will go directly to help those in need.
How much should I give?
The dollar amount is up to you. Consider how the early church responded to God’s grace and provision and decide how you can respond. (Acts 4:32-35)) Is there something we can sell and donate to others? If you’re able to pay your own bills, could you donate the amount of one expense this month to Together For? It’s the heart behind the donation, not the dollar amount. We’re asking everyone to participate. Together For donations may also qualify for employer matching donations.
