“For God so loved the world…”  The most famous verse in the Bible begins with God’s heart for the world. So what in the world is God doing? Our world is getting smaller, but the need and opportunity is getting bigger. In this four-week series It’s a Small World, we’re going to explore God’s invitation to join Him in a global mission.

A delicious dessert banquet for graduating class of 2017. This is an event for the family to celebrate, along with most of the seniors who have been around our church over the years (some forever, others are newer). The focus is celebration and sending off our graduates from our church family into their unique paths of adult life. We will send out a formal invitation in April with an RSVP and further details.

Every Thursday, you are welcome to join the Overseer Team and Staff of Northshore for prayer and fasting from 12–1pm. We’ll meet in the Rainier Room where we’ll pray for our senior pastoral search and the future of Northshore. If you can’t be there, please join us by praying and fasting during that time.

Afterlife: What happens when you die?

The mortality rate in this world is 100%. At some point, all of us, no matter how healthy we are in body, mind, and spirit will pass from this life to the next. So what happens in the afterlife? What happens when you die? Is there really a heaven and hell? These are some of the important questions we’ll explore in our new Afterlife series because eternity hangs in the balance.

Invite your kids into the clubhouse and show them the God is who over the moon in love with them!

Cost $10 per kid. $10 per shirt & include t-shirt size drop down. Scholarships available and volunteer kids are free.

Register May 1 to June 3. Pre-registration required.

For incoming 6th-8th grades, this will be an amazing summer experience camping at Alder Lake at the foot of Mt. Rainer. Imagine 120 middle school students running around playing crazy games, tubing on a lake miles long, and eating better than they eat all year (seriously!), with powerful camp speakers, music, and tent-leaders.  Many parents are key support personnel (cooks, boat drivers, etc.) with older high school and college students volunteering, too!

  • Cost:  $199 each, plus options for purchasing a zipper-hoodie.
  • Some need-based scholarships are available.  If needed, please email and fill her in on what is needed.
  • We typically have 1-2 nurses who assist with medical situations, plus a cook-volunteer to navigate special needs.
  • Water safety?  We usually have a couple volunteer lifeguards who watch the swimming area.  Everywhere else, students are required to wear a lifejacket.
  • Students sleep with their peers in large tents, supervised by 1-2 leaders.

For incoming 9th-12th graders, we will live out on the lake for five days/four nights on Lake Billy Chinook in Oregon for a fun and life-changing experience.  Spots are limited and last year we sold out, so invite friends and sign up ASAP.  Also, we are looking for adults to come as boat drivers and a limited amount of other support roles.

  • Usually about 14-16 people per boat (2+ of those leaders), and 1-2 camp nurses
  • 4-6 boats including free wakeboarding/wake surfing lessons, 7 canoes, lifeguard watching a swim area with lots of water toys, hiking, board games…
  • Worship, relevant camp speaker, small groups discussing life and the teachings, crazy mixers, and lots of new and old friendships
  • A couple adults come as food-leads, but most of the final meal preparations are done by each boat with competitions for some of the creative meals and style.
