Who is Northshore Students for?

Northshore Students is a place for middle and high school students to find their people, have fun, ask real questions, and discover what it looks like to follow Jesus for themselves.

What happens when students get together?

Expect games, friends, worship, relevant teaching, and honest conversations about Jesus and real life. Some nights are meaningful, some are ridiculous, and usually they are a little bit of both.

Who leads the students?

Our students are surrounded by background checked adult leaders who genuinely care about them. Leaders show up consistently to build relationships, listen, encourage, mentor, and point students toward Jesus.

Can my student come if they do not know anyone?

Absolutely. New students are welcome, whether they know ten people or no one at all. Our leaders will help them get connected and find their people.

We love helping middle school and high school students grow deeper relationships with their friends and God!

If you’re looking to get plugged in, MDWK is our favorite thing and the best way to start! Every Wednesday at 7pm, we gather at our Kirkland campus to hang out, worship, and spend time in groups (which meet together to talk about life and God).

No awkward youth leader energy. Okay, maybe a little. Our background checked adult leaders genuinely love hanging out with students and showing up for what matters to them. They are here to listen, encourage, ask good questions, and be trusted people students can count on as they figure out faith and life.

No pretending you have it all figured out. This is a place to ask big questions, talk honestly about life, and discover what following Jesus actually looks like at school, at home, with your friends, and everywhere in between.

Pastor of Student Ministries

Meet Jason Weir

Jason Weir is our Youth and 5th & 6th Grade Pastor, committed to building a community where students can discover who Jesus is. He is a husband, a world traveler, a sports and music lover, and someone who wants every student to feel like they truly belong at church. More than anything, Jason wants every student, from 5th grade all the way through 12th grade, to feel welcome, be encouraged, and have fun while learning to own their faith for themselves. And if you want to hear some great stories, just ask Jason about the places he's lived! Having grown up in several countries and cities across the U.S., his love for sports, food, movies, and music carries a little bit of everywhere with him. He's beyond thankful for his wife, Katherine, who gets to share in the adventure.
