At World Relief Western Washington, our vision is to see every refugee and immigrant welcomed by community, rooted in community, and empowered for community.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Bring your gifts, abilities and interests, and World Relief will help you connect and walk alongside families and individuals as they rebuild their lives in Western Washington. Complete our King County volunteer application here.
Playgroup Assistants in North Seattle
Our community-based playgroups are accessible to parents within their communities and provide opportunities for families to build community. As a volunteer, you will be an essential part of helping our newly arrived families build their circle of support, receive valuable child development information, and prepare their children for kindergarten and beyond! Commitment: 3 hours (9:30am-12:30pm) once a month beginning mid-January 2026. Location: North Seattle – Lake City (Fridays)
Virtual ESL Class Assistants
World Relief Western Washington matches volunteers with opportunities to assist in our English classes in order to help adult refugee and immigrant students improve their English skills and equip them to navigate their new community. Dates and Times: Our online classes are offered Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2pm-5pm. Commitment: Once a week for 3 months. Location: Zoom

Bed Frames and Mattresses
Imagine finally securing a home— only to sleep on the floor in a sleeping bag. You can help prevent that with your donation of a mattress or bed frame that WRWW will gift to a family in need. Please send your donations to: World Relief Western Washington, 23835 Pacific Hwy S, Suite 100, Kent, WA 98032
*Please send a gift note with your shipment including your name and address if you’d like a tax-deductible receipt sent to you.
Infant and Toddler Kits
Refugees and asylees often flee their homes at a moment’s notice. Infant and Toddler Kits provide necessary essentials to mothers and their children such as a new diapers and wet wipes, books and small toys, or a new car seat. Click here to learn more.
