Recovery & Support

Everybody needs a place to go for help, encouragement and support when life is not working and disillusionment sets in. Northshore’s Recovery & Support Ministries provides a place where the liberating work of change can take place with the help of trained and experienced help.

Available Groups

We offer recovery & support groups, one-on-one meetings, community resources, support for families in domestic abuse situations, as well as skill-building classes for children. Let us introduce you to the transforming power of Jesus Christ in a safe, confidential, and loving atmosphere regardless of your circumstances. Join us for the coming months as we delve into issues of life and find freedom in Christ. Choose an option below and register.

Fall 2018 Groups

Discovering God’s Grace in Our Stories (Women)

In this group, we will be finding God’s grace in our life story through art, prayer, and journaling. We will be using Storyropes(c), crosspages, and other collage projects. You don’t need to be an artist to be healed through art.

Safe People

Safe People will help you to recognize the 20 traits of relationally untrustworthy people. Discover what makes some people safe, how to avoid unhealthy entanglements, and how to develop a balanced, healthy approach to relationships. Join us as we use the book and workbook, Safe People, by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend. For more details, contact Sue Dils at 425-216-4435.

Untangling Relationships

Are you a people pleaser? Do you have trouble saying no? Would you like to have ‘truly healthy adult’ relationships with others? If so, come join us.

Struggle to Strength

Do you struggle with sexual thoughts, porn, masturbation or other stuff and need some help? This recovery group offers confidential help to get free. Come join us. It’s tough work, but worth it. For more details, contact Sue Dils at 425-216-4435.

Separation and divorce can be one of the most painful and stressful experiences people face. It is a confusing time when isolation sets in and there are questions about issues never faced before. Come find support with DivorceCare.

Making Peace with your Past (Coed, Women)

Have you thought about how your past influences how you do life today? We see patterns of dysfunction in our lives but don’t quite know how to break out of them. Even after you have tried to change your behavior, do you see yourself still making the same destructive decisions over and over again? If this seems familiar, join us in “Making Peace With Your Past.”

Confident Kids

Confident Kids is a life-skills program offering help and encouragement to children ages 6 – 11. Topics include: All my feelings are Okay; there are no perfect families; nothing stays the same forever, and I always, always have choices.

Griefshare

GriefShare is for those who have lost someone close to them through death. GriefShare shows you how to access the hope, help, and healing that God offers through a 13-week program. Journey

Journey will help those who are struggling with relational or sexual brokenness.If you’d like to get past family of origin issues or would like to love others and yourself better, Journey is a program for men and women struggling with a variety of relational or sexual brokenness.
