He and his wife, Nina, have a daughter, Nora, and an overly fluffy dog named Baylee. He graduated from Stanford University and studied theology at Regent College in Vancouver, BC. He has served in ministry leadership for over 20 years and calls Little Rock, Arkansas, his childhood home.

He spent most of his life in Santa Monica and has been to Disneyland over 400 times, mostly because it was an inspirational place to write. - Anita WarrenPrayer & Care Ministry AssistantAnita Warren grew up in Monroe, Louisiana, but has lived in the Northwest for over forty years. She’s passionate about loving and serving people and has a deep commitment to prayer. Over the years, she’s traveled on short-term mission trips around the world and, together with her husband, Wayne has seven children, thirteen grandchildren, and two little dogs.
- Brandon ShumanWorship PastorBrandon leads our worship team. He grew up in the Seattle area and started pursuing music at a very young age, and has performed and led worship in many different contexts all over North America. Using music to worship God with a group of people is one of his greatest joys.
- Brenda BaldwinLocal Outreach & Student Ministries' AssistantBrenda is a Southern California girl through and through and has been married to Greg for 18 years, with never a dull moment. They have two teenagers who keep them busy with sports, sports, and more sports. As a family, they enjoy the outdoors, eating good food, laughing and playing games.
- Brenda BerryFamily Life Ministry AssistantBrenda has been married to Shawn for over 30 years, and has two adult sons, Carl and Erick. Brenda and her husband have been worshiping at Northshore for over 15 years. Brenda enjoys connecting people, family and friend time, kayaking, travel, and a Little Free Library known as their “people feeder.”
- Brian HarmonDirector of Video ProductionBrian has been telling stories since he was 5 years old—granted, the first one he wrote in Kindergarten was a total ripoff of Are You My Mother? Graduating with a BA in Cinema and Media Arts from Biola University, Brian seeks to continually reflect the beauty of God through the art of filmmaking. Brian and his wife, Samantha love to go on adventures, try new restaurants, and drink delicious coffee.
- Brian MayGraphic DesignerBrian has been attending Northshore since he was 7 years old, and started working here in 2014 after graduating from George Fox University in Oregon. He is getting married in 2016 and his life mission is to find meaningful ways to share Jesus through design.
- Brookes AugustPastor of Student MinistriesBrookes was born in Washington but spent his high school years in Nicaragua. A graduate of Northwest University, he's been working with teenagers since 2008. Married in July 2016, he's passionate about the Bible, Seattle sports, and believes the Mariners will win the World Series before Jesus returns.
- Cameron WoodStudent Ministries InternCameron is the youngest of three brothers. Currently a student at Northwest University, he is studying Youth, Children, and Family Ministry… and Math. He enjoys food, books, and more food. Seriously. feed him.
- Carry M.Office Manager/Human ResourcesCarry has been on staff at NCC for over 15 years and loves hearing the stories of transformation that happen through the ministries here. She loves the fresh air, water and mountains of the Pacific Northwest, and enjoys biking and hiking whenever possible…preferably in the sunshine.
- Cheryl HuffDirector of FacilitiesNorthshore has been a place of healing for Cheryl. She enjoys seeing all God is doing within the various ministries, and considers it a gift to serve at Northshore. She has four grown children in various states, and four grandchildren. She enjoys home construction/design, the outdoors, playing games and, most of all, spending time with people.
- Chris GibsonCommunication Team Project ManagerChris was born and raised in sunny Florida. He's married to his beautiful wife, Faith, and they have two energetic children. Chris enjoys roasting coffee, reading books, having meaningful conversations, and making Christ known through graphic design.
- Cody PepperDirector of Student Ministry ProgramsCody grew up in Texas but also spent time serving as a missionary in Asia after graduating from Houston Baptist University in 2013. He loves music, movies, sports, the outdoors, and food—it’s rumored that he will never turn down a home cooked meal.
- Derek SmithChairmanDerek and his wife Kara have served at Northshore since 1995. They have three amazing girls: Sydney, Brooklyn, and Delaney. He enjoys serving on the Board of Overseers, running his business, coaching, traveling, fishing, and bird watching (nearly 850 species, but who's counting anyway?)
- Dorene MintonDirector of Early ChildhoodDorene is passionate about kids and wants them to be seen, known, and loved. She’s one of 11 siblings, has 3 grown children and 7 grandkids.
- Doug HumphreysDirector of FinanceDoug is married to his high school sweetheart Darla. They have three amazing kids, Kaya, Blake and Cade. As a family they love to camp, eat ice cream and travel to anywhere the sun is shining!
- Gary StabbertPastor of Prayer & Community CareGary oversees our Prayer Teams, Senior Connections Team (care for home-centered people), 2nd Half Ministries Team (ages 55+), hospital visitation, memorial services and the Benevolence Ministries Team. Gary has been married to his wife Debbie for 35 years in 2016. They both love spending time with their children and grandchildren.
- Ginny RoosEarly Childhood Ast. Coordinator & Children's Ministry Ast.I have always had a great love for children. I have enjoyed being a Nanny for several families, the lead teacher in the infant room on weekdays, as well as a certified postpartum doula. I have been married to my amazing husband, Kurtis. since 1993 and we have one young adult son, Travis. Our family has called Northshore home since 1996. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, Zumba, camping, games, reading and coffee. I used to work for a major cruise line and cruising to the Caribbean is a favorite vacation.
- Hilario PardoPastor of Global MissionHilario is originally from Spain but has lived in the US for 30 years. He’s a Registered Nurse, artist, caretaker, husband, father, and grandfather. He’s passionate about bringing the good news of the gospel to the poor, needy, slave, and lost.
- Jeanette StevensAdministrative AssistantJeanette likes to count things, play board games, swim, hike, and ride bikes on the Burke-Gilman Trail. She has been to Arizona three times, but has yet to see the Grand Canyon, which is on her bucket list.
- Jeanne DoyleMinistry AssistantJeanne began working at Northshore in 1973 and has been blessed to see and experience all God has done over the years. She loves being with family, friends, grandchildren, reading, crocheting, working in the yard, vacationing on the Oregon Coast, and being part of the community where she lives.
- Jeff SimundsDirector of Tower of Light MinistriesJeff is single, loves travel (has been to 79+ countries), foreign films, ethnic food, foreign languages, foreign music…(you get the picture). When not planning his next trip, he loves cooking gourmet meals for friends, throwing intimate parties, wine tasting (responsibly), and hanging out with his dog, Charlie.
- Jeremy CavanaughOverseerJeremy has been married to Emily for 14 years and they have three children. When he’s not managing commercial real estate or serving at Northshore, he enjoys dates with his girls, bike rides with his boys, or golfing with his friends.
- Jim ShawOverseerJim and his wife, Peggy have attended Northshore since 1992 after stumbling across a small church right in their neighborhood. Northshore has stayed a small church to them because they've been actively engaged with small groups and volunteering. Jim has four children with the youngest graduating high school this coming year.
- Jonathan WolfgangPastor of Teaching & DiscipleshipOriginally from Pittsburgh, PA, Wolfgang met his wife, Lori as junior-highers at a Christian camp and were married in 1996. They’re wannabe foodies and love exploring new places and foods and they have three fantastic kids – Stone, Macy, and Piper.
- Juan AragonOverseerJuan has been married to Hilary for over 15 years and they have three boys–Sam, Ben and Mateo. He is part of the executive team at Evergreen Health in Kirkland, Washington and enjoys traveling, finding good food to eat, and cycling, even in rainy weather.
- Julie ZagerDirector of Small GroupsJulie has been married to Jeff for 33 years and they are happy “empty nesters” living in Kirkland. She enjoys her two grown children, Lindsay and Andrew, who live locally, their 4 year old Havanese dog, Pippin, knitting, and bird-watching.
- Kathy FlugstadMinistry AssistantKathy has been married to her husband Phil for over 25 years and has been at Northshore for two decades. She has three adult children, two dogs, one cat, and way too many cars in front of her house. She loves trying new things and recently has learned to drive a ski boat, traveled to both Spain and Italy, and captured her first Pokemon.
- Kay DeesReceptionistKay and her husband, Paul, will have been married for 34 years in 2017, are both Fighting Illini from the great state of Illinois, but have lived in beautiful Washington state for over 25 years. They have been empty nesters for over a decade with 2 grown children, and two grandchildren (who live far away) and a dog named Gracie. Kay is a Zumba instructor, YMCA volunteer, professional voice over narrator, a big fan of the arts, a lover of dogs and babies, and has three bikes named Goldie (hybrid), Joan (mountain), and Beryl (road).

I’m passionate about ministry because I love seeing people’s lives change in Christ and develop a heart for reaching others with the Good News. I also value strategic use of kingdom resources, healthy team dynamics, and people using their giftings well in the body of Christ.

- Lauren NealDirector of Women's MinistriesLauren has been on staff since 2014. She loves her husband, three kids, two beagles, and a partridge in a pear tree. Pastoring women at Northshore is a joy for her and she loves to connect with women of all stages and ages.
- Leesha SinrudBookkeeperLeesha is a native Washingtonian and is married to Peter. They love camping, hiking, bicycling and eating s’mores around campfires. Their adult children Leah and Robert live close by so they enjoy many family outings.
- Mary Nell SorensenGlobal Missions Ministry AssistantA native of Seattle, Mary has been married for over 40 years. She taught E.S.L. at the U of W for 20 years and enjoys traveling and volunteering. She loves bicycling, cross-country skiing, sewing, and pickle ball.
- Matt OgurkowOverseerMatt has been married to Rachel for 7 years and they run a busy house of three kids–Caleb, Austin, and Elaina. Matt enjoys hiking, reading, and playing any kind of competitive sport. He is passionate about reaching those who don’t know Jesus and teaching others how to more fully understand the Gospel so that it can change who they are and how they view the world around them.
- Mitch RobertsAssociate Worship DirectorOriginally from South Carolina, Mitch moved to Seattle in 2013. He loves leading worship, loving people, and making people smile. In his free time, he camps with his wife and hangs out with his dog June.
- Pete LindquistMaintenancePete is married to his beautiful wife Cindy, and they have 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren. You can often find him on a bicycle or playing with a camera, sometimes both at the same time. He enjoys helping others or those in need.
- Robert SinrudSystems AdministratorRobert is a Northwest native and feels right at home when the clouds are out. He enjoys a good game of ultimate Frisbee, mountain biking, and snowboarding. Shen he’s inside he loves tinkering with technology or playing video games – both have been long-time passions in his life.
- Samantha HarmonResource Coordinator/Women's Ministry Ast.Born and raised in the greater Seattle area, Samantha loves exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Going on adventures in the great outdoors, having a good cup of tea or coffee, and discovering new restaurants are just a few of the things her and her husband, Brian, enjoy together.
- Shawn RowlesPastor of Family LifeShawn oversees the ministries to kids, students, parents and marriage – everything that has to do with the families. He’s been known to be a Good Samaritan, weekend warrior, washed-up athlete and an especially gifted Sunday napper.
- Steven BoltDirector of Production ArtsAfter years of working in the lighting, audio, and video world, Steven is excited to be called here to Northshore to serve as the Production Arts Director. He is married to an incredible wife, Jenny and has a mischievous little Chihuahua, Lumen. As a family, they love anything outdoors and enjoy getting to spend time with family locally.
- Sue DilsDirector of Recovery & SupportSue lived for a few years in the Philippines before marrying her husband, Jeff. They have one son who keeps their lives rich and full, and a cat who acts like a dog. She was born on April Fool’s Day, loves the Northwest, hiking, playing at the beach, and getting together with friends, but doesn’t like Brussels sprouts or traffic.
- Tim KingPastor of Local OutreachTim worked for over 30 years in IT at Boeing and Microsoft before joining Northshore in 2015. Tim and his wife Monette are long-time Seattle-ites, but have also lived in Alaska, Africa, and South America.
- Todd FredricksonOverseerTodd grew up on a farm near Mount Vernon, and is a science teacher at Bothell High School. He’s married to Kerri and they have three adult children, Christopher, Rebecca, and Daniel. His favorite activities are traveling, both for missions and family vacations, and music, especially playing keyboards at Northshore.
- Tom BordnerOverseerTom has enjoyed over forty years of marriage to his wife and best friend. They have four married adult children and ten delightful grandchildren. He has thrived in a career in the commercial construction industry, and has called Northshore Community Church his home since 1992.
- Trevor RogersOverseerTrevor is a Mechanical Engineer in the Medical Ultrasound industry. His wife Hannah, and children Nick, Bethany and Lydia have enjoyed being part of the Northshore family for over 22 years and have been involved with small groups, adult classes, children's ministry, and community projects. Their passion is to help people mature in Christ and to follow Him.
