  • Allen Wolf
    Pastor of Arts & Communication
    Allen oversees the Communication and Worship Teams. He spent most of his life in Santa Monica and has been to Disneyland over 400 times, mostly because it was an inspirational place to write. He’s an award-winning novelist, filmmaker, and board-game creator, is married to his Persian princess, and has two thoughtful, snuggly children.
  • Andy Wright
    Pastor of Student Ministries
    Andy is married to Bethesda and they have three kids, a German Shepherd named Mia, a bunch of hens dropping eggs, and some parakeets and a cockatiel. Andy loves smoking meat, salmon fishing, gardening and building stuff, along with playing/coaching a variety of sports (especially basketball).
  • Anita Warren
    Prayer & Care Ministry Assistant
    Anita Warren grew up in Monroe, Louisiana, but has lived in the Northwest for over forty years. She’s passionate about loving and serving people and has a deep commitment to prayer. Over the years, she’s traveled on short-term mission trips around the world and, together with her husband, Wayne has seven children, thirteen grandchildren, and two little dogs.

    Worship Pastor
    Brandon leads our worship team. He grew up in the Seattle area and started pursuing music at a very young age, and has performed and led worship in many different contexts all over North America. Using music to worship God with a group of people is one of his greatest joys.
  • Brenda Baldwin
    Community Impact Ministry Assistant
    Brenda is a Southern California girl through and through and has been married to Greg for 18 years, with never a dull moment. They have two teenagers who keep them busy with sports, sports, and more sports. As a family, they enjoy the outdoors, eating good food, laughing and playing games.
  • Brian Harmon
    Director of Video Production
    Brian has been telling stories since he was 5 years old—granted, the first one he wrote in Kindergarten was a total ripoff of <i>Are You My Mother?</i> Graduating with a BA in Cinema and Media Arts from Biola University, Brian seeks to continually reflect the beauty of God through the art of filmmaking. Brian and his wife, Samantha, love to go on adventures, try new restaurants, and drink delicious coffee.

    Brian has been attending Northshore since he was 7 years old, and started working here in 2014 after graduating from George Fox University in Oregon. He is getting married in 2016 and his life mission is to find meaningful ways to share Jesus through design.
  • Bryen Graver
    Digital Media Specialist
    Bryen is the only man you’ll meet who actively uses 9 social networks. If you wanna know what he’s like on a daily basis, follow his Spotify playlists. He uses California slang, even though he’s Washington born & raised. He has special handshakes for each of his two brothers, and he backpacks every year with them and the rest of his family. He loves Jesus, creativity, people, new tech, brewing coffee a myriad of ways, and any food that doesn't involve celery.

    Carry has been on staff at NCC for over 15 years and loves hearing the stories of transformation that happen through the ministries here. She loves the fresh air, water and mountains of the Pacific Northwest, and enjoys biking and hiking whenever possible…preferably in the sunshine.
  • Cheryl Huff
    Event Support Lead
    Northshore has been a place of healing for Cheryl. She enjoys seeing all God is doing within the various ministries, and considers it a gift to serve at Northshore. She has four grown children in various states, and four grandchildren. She enjoys home construction/design, the outdoors, playing games and, most of all, spending time with people.
  • Derek Smith
    Derek and his wife Kara have served at Northshore since 1995. They have three amazing girls: Sydney, Brooklyn, and Delaney. He enjoys serving on the Board of Overseers, running his business, coaching, traveling, fishing, and bird watching (nearly 850 species, but who's counting anyway?)

    Director of Early Childhood
    Dorene is passionate about kids and wants them to be seen, known, and loved. She’s one of 11 siblings, has 3 grown children and 7 grandkids.
  • Doug Humphreys
    Director of Finance
    Doug is married to his high school sweetheart Darla. They have three amazing kids, Kaya, Blake and Cade. As a family they love to camp, eat ice cream and travel to anywhere the sun is shining!
  • Garrett Birkeland
    Executive Pastor of Ministry
    Garrett is a Northwest native, has bad seasonal allergies, sunburns super easily, and uses a "happy light" during the dark winter days. Garrett lives in Mill Creek with his wife Tahnee and their two daughters. They love adventures, spontaneity, and the outdoors. On any given weekend you can find them taking road trips to either the mountains or the coast.

    Pastor of Prayer & Community Care
    Gary oversees our Prayer Teams, Senior Connections Team (care for home-centered people), 2nd Half Ministries Team (ages 55+), hospital visitation, memorial services and the Benevolence Ministries Team. Gary has been married to his wife Debbie for 35 years in 2016. They both love spending time with their children and grandchildren.

    Early Childhood Assistant Coordinator
    I have always had a great love for children. I have enjoyed being a Nanny for several families, the lead teacher in the infant room on weekdays, as well as a certified postpartum doula. I have been married to my amazing husband, Kurtis. since 1993 and we have one young adult son, Travis. Our family has called Northshore home since 1996. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, Zumba, camping, games, reading and coffee. I used to work for a major cruise line and cruising to the Caribbean is a favorite vacation.

    Pastor of Global Mission
    Hilario is originally from Spain but has lived in the US for 30 years. He’s a Registered Nurse, artist, caretaker, husband, father, and grandfather. He’s passionate about bringing the good news of the gospel to the poor, needy, slave, and lost.
  • Jeanette Stevens
    Administrative Assistant
    Jeanette likes to count things, play board games, swim, hike, and ride bikes on the Burke-Gilman Trail. She has been to Arizona three times, but has yet to see the Grand Canyon, which is on her bucket list.
  • Jeanne Doyle
    Ministry Assistant
    Jeanne began working at Northshore in 1973 and has been blessed to see and experience all God has done over the years. She  loves being with family, friends, grandchildren, reading, crocheting, working in the yard, vacationing on the Oregon Coast, and being part of the community where she lives.
  • Jeff Simunds
    Director of Tower of Light Ministries
    Jeff is single, loves travel (has been to 79+ countries), foreign films, ethnic food, foreign languages, foreign music…(you get the picture). When not planning his next trip, he loves cooking gourmet meals for friends, throwing intimate parties, wine tasting (responsibly), and hanging out with his dog, Charlie.
  • Jeremy Cavanaugh
    Jeremy has been married to Emily for 14 years and they have three children. When he’s not managing commercial real estate or serving at Northshore, he enjoys dates with his girls, bike rides with his boys, or golfing with his friends.
  • Jim Shaw
    Jim and his wife, Peggy have attended Northshore since 1992 after stumbling across a small church right in their neighborhood. Northshore has stayed a small church to them because they've been actively engaged with small groups and volunteering. Jim has four children with the youngest graduating high school this coming year.
  • Jonathan Wolfgang
    Pastor of Teaching & Discipleship
    Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Wolfgang met his wife, Lori as junior-highers at a Christian camp and were married in 1996. They’re wannabe foodies and love exploring new places and foods and they have three fantastic kids – Stone, Macy, and Piper.

    Director of Student Creative Arts & College Ministries
    Jono is a California native who married into a Seahawks family.  He loves developing young leaders and challenging people to step beyond their comfort zones. He’s married and has a baby girl and loves surfing, backpacking, running, playing music, painting, writing, reading and spending time with loved ones.
  • Juan Aragon
    Juan has been married to Hilary for over 15 years and they have three boys–Sam, Ben and Mateo. He is part of the executive team at Evergreen Health in Kirkland, Washington and enjoys traveling, finding good food to eat, and cycling, even in rainy weather.
  • Julie Zager
    Director of Small Groups
    Julie has been married to Jeff for 33 years and they are happy “empty nesters” living in Kirkland. She enjoys her two grown children, Lindsay and Andrew, who live locally, their 4 year old Havanese dog, Pippin, knitting, and bird-watching.
  • Kathy Flugstad
    Ministry Assistant
    Kathy has been married to her husband Phil for over 25 years and has been at Northshore for two decades. She has three adult children, two dogs, one cat, and way too many cars in front of her house. She loves trying new things and recently has learned to drive a ski boat, traveled to both Spain and Italy, and captured her first Pokemon.
  • Kay Dees
    Kay and her husband, Paul, will have been married for 34 years in 2017, are both Fighting Illini from the great state of Illinois, but have lived in beautiful Washington state for over 25 years. They have been empty nesters for over a decade with 2 grown children, and two grandchildren (who live far away) and a dog named Gracie. Kay is a Zumba instructor, YMCA volunteer, professional voice over narrator, a big fan of the arts, a lover of dogs and babies, and has three bikes named Goldie (hybrid), Joan (mountain), and Beryl (road).

    Executive Pastor of Operations
    I’m blessed to be able to serve as Northshore's Executive Pastor of Operations. I hold degrees from Chapman University, California Baptist University, and Cal. State Fullerton. I’m passionate about ministry because I love seeing people’s lives change in Christ and develop a heart for reaching others with the Good News. I also value strategic use of kingdom resources, healthy team dynamics, and people using their giftings well in the body of Christ.
  • Kurtis Roos
    Director of Facilities
    Kurtis has an entrepreneurial spirit and previously owned and operated a custom lighting design company that created several signature fixtures you might’ve seen around Puget Sound, such as the chandelier in the Alderwood Mall. He’s married to Ginny, they have a young adult son, and he enjoys time with family and friends, hiking, running, walking, and finding interesting ways to smoke meat and barbecue.

    Executive Assistant
    Lari has been married to her husband for 30 years in 2017. She loves her 3 kids and grandson, the outdoors, reading, and doing creative things.
  • Lauren Neal
    Director of Women's Ministries
    Lauren has been on staff since 2014. She loves her husband, three kids, two beagles, and a partridge in a pear tree. Pastoring women at Northshore is a joy for her and she loves to connect with women of all stages and ages.
  • Leesha Sinrud
    Leesha is a native Washingtonian and is married to Peter. They love camping, hiking, bicycling and eating s’mores around campfires. Their adult children Leah and Robert live close by so they enjoy many family outings.
  • Matt Ogurkow
    Matt has been married to Rachel for 7 years and they run a busy house of three kids–Caleb, Austin, and Elaina. Matt enjoys hiking, reading, and playing any kind of competitive sport. He is passionate about reaching those who don’t know Jesus and teaching others how to more fully understand the Gospel so that it can change who they are and how they view the world around them.

    Project Manager
    Mia helps support the Communications Team in the promotion of the ministries and events. She and her husband have three grown children and live in Kirkland. She loves hanging out with her family, cooking, the outdoors, and being creative.
  • Pete Lindquist
    Pete is married to his beautiful wife Cindy, and they have 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren. You can often find him on a bicycle or playing with a camera, sometimes both at the same time. He enjoys helping others or those in need.
  • Rachel Forrey
    Family Life Ministry Assistant
    Rachel was born and raised in West Seattle and graduated from the University of Washington (go Dawgs!) in 2015 with a degree in Communications and Nutrition. She loves being outside, wakeboarding, wake surfing, paddle boarding, hiking, and running. On cozy rainy days, she enjoys cooking tasty food and baking yummy treats.
  • Robert Sinrud
    Network Administrator
    Robert is a Northwest native and feels right at home when the clouds are out. He enjoys a good game of ultimate Frisbee, mountain biking, and snowboarding. Shen he’s inside he loves tinkering with technology or playing video games – both have been long-time passions in his life.
  • Rod Locke
    Rod is originally from Billings, Montana, and served 26 years in the Navy as a submariner. He and his wife, Peggy, have seven children and 8 grandchildren.
  • Samantha Harmon
    Resource Coordinator/Women's Ministry Ast.
    Born and raised in the greater Seattle area, Samantha loves exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Going on adventures in the great outdoors, having a good cup of tea or coffee, and discovering new restaurants are just a few of the things her and her husband, Brian, enjoy together.

    Director of Elementary Ministries
    Sarah played basketball in college and will challenge anyone to a game. She loves great food, warm rainy nights, and eating food from her home state of Hawaii.
  • Shawn Rowles
    Pastor of Family Life
    Shawn oversees the ministries to kids, students, parents and marriage – everything that has to do with the families. He’s been known to be a Good Samaritan, weekend warrior, washed-up athlete and an especially gifted Sunday napper.
  • Steven Bolt
    Director of Production Arts
    After years of working in the lighting, audio, and video world, Steven is excited to be called here to Northshore to serve as the Production Arts Director. He is married to an incredible wife, Jenny and has a mischievous little Chihuahua, Lumen. As a family, they love anything outdoors and enjoy getting to spend time with family locally.
  • Sue Dils
    Director of Community Support
    Sue lived for a few years in the Philippines before marrying her husband, Jeff. They have one son who keeps their lives rich and full, and a cat who acts like a dog. She was born on April Fool’s Day, loves the Northwest, hiking, playing at the beach, and getting together with friends, but doesn’t like Brussels sprouts or traffic.

    Director of Local Outreach
    Tim worked for over 30 years in IT at Boeing and Microsoft before joining Northshore in 2015. Tim and his wife Monette are long-time Seattle-ites, but have also lived in Alaska, Africa, and South America.
  • Todd Fredrickson
    Todd grew up on a farm near Mount Vernon, and is a science teacher at Bothell High School. He’s married to Kerri and they have three adult children, Christopher, Rebecca, and Daniel. His favorite activities are traveling, both for missions and family vacations, and music, especially playing keyboards at Northshore.
  • Tom Bordner
    Tom has enjoyed over forty years of marriage to his wife and best friend. They have four married adult children and ten delightful grandchildren. He has thrived in a career in the commercial construction industry, and has called Northshore Community Church his home since 1992.
  • Tracy Stevens
    Student Ministry Assistant
    Tracy is married with four mostly-grown, delightful children. She loves Jesus, sunshine, ice cream, coffee, laughter, running, and traveling, especially to sunny places that include all of the other things she loves.
  • Trevor Rogers
    Trevor is a Mechanical Engineer in the Medical Ultrasound industry. His wife Hannah, and children Nick, Bethany and Lydia have enjoyed being part of the Northshore family for over 22 years and have been involved with small groups, adult classes, children's ministry, and community projects. Their passion is to help people mature in Christ and to follow Him.
